I have just registered with CF and have been assigned two NS. My website is hosted on GCP. When I try and add the assigned CF’s NS to GCP, I receive this message “Record data must be in the format - ns-1.example(dot)com”
How can I resolve this?

It is unclear what you are attempting. Do you have a link to some corresponding GCP documentation to help us understand your objective?
I am attempting to add in CF’s nameservers. It seems like a reasonably easy exercise, seeing I set up my website on GCP some time ago with zero experience in tech (it was a big deal for me). CF has provided me with two nameservers. When I try and add them to the DNS records, the message I receive is ‘Record data must be in the format ns-1.example(dot)com’
CF’s nameservers are chip.ns.Cloudflare(dot)com + one other. Can you see the difference between what GCP requires and what CF nameservers?
It sounds like you are trying to add your Cloudflare nameservers to GCP Cloud DNS. You cannot do that. Your DNS is managed in Cloudflare, not GCP. All domains that use Cloudflare Registrar are required to use Cloudflare DNS management.
The following Community Tutorial explains how to add DNS records in Cloudflare.
Thank you so much! Do you know how many times over the last month I have attempted to do this? Not to mention the amount of googling.
Of course, now I feel like a complete doofus, but I am glad I asked. Thank you once again.
You are welcome. Don’t feel bad. We learn by doing and making mistakes and asking questions. You got this.
