NS records when Cloudflare is my registrar

This may be a dumb question so bare with me. I just transferred my domain and Cloudflare is now my registrar. I already had Cloudflare managing my DNS records with my old registrar pointing at my Cloudflare name servers. I added NS records in Cloudflare’s DNS management to point to my Cloudflare names servers just as I did with the previous registrar.

My question is, are the NS records I created needed or are they pointless if Cloudflare is my registrar?

Yes, they’re pointless. NS records are really for subdomains if they’re manged elsewhere. And, as you’ve surmised, the registrar pretty much is the NS record for the domain.
