Not receiving emails

Hi, I enabled my ecommerce store with Cloudflare a couple of days ago. Site is working well. Email is not.

I have added A and MX records to Cloudflare for emails as specified by Hostgator. It has been 24 hours already.

When I now send an email from Gmail to my store domains, they get returned, and I get the error below:

“550 Please turn on SMTP Authentication in your mail client, or login to the IMAP/POP3 server before sending your message. mail-ua1-f54.google.com [209.85.222.54]:35982 is not permitted to relay through this server without authentication”.

Do you know if I am missing any settings in Cloudflare?

First thing I’d do is make sure the A records for your mail servers are ‘grey-cloud’ - Cloudflare won’t proxy that traffic.

Yes they are grey-cloud.

I supstect cached DNS entries, this is not really Cloudflare related.
