Not getting emails

For Workes & Pages, what is the name of the domain?

What is the error message?

not getting emails i have been advised to mask the mx record, pls assist

What is the issue or error you’re encountering

not getting emails

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

i have been advised to mask the mx records? not sure pls assist…

Make sure to set the Proxy status of all email related DNS records to Unproxied (:grey:) / DNS-only.

Your MX record, to mention one example, is currently pointing towards another DNS record, which has been set to Proxied (:orange:).

i have changed all proxied to DNS only except the AAAA records they are still proxied is that OK…

my email provider has stated

This does look correct, however, these changes that you have made have not propagated yet as I am still seeing the old proxied IPs, this will require 24 hours for these changes to complete

Can you share a screenshot of your current configuration?

What name servers do you see below your DNS record(s)?

  1. davina and seth

or

  1. edward and liz

Edward and liz

The domain has been delegated towards davina and seth through your domain registrar.

So with edward and liz, you’re logged in to the wrong Cloudflare account, and as that Cloudflare account isn’t authoritative for the domain, you will never see the changes propagate.

I will therefore suggest you to check the Cloudflare account you are logging in to.

That said, - as an additional note:

  • The A records pointing towards “104.21” and “172.67” IPv4 addresses are incorrect.

  • The AAAA records pointing towards “2606:4700” IPv6 addresses are incorrect.

thanks so what should i do to correct this as i have not done anything new to make this issue occur

these are our servers and we have only 1 log in

pls check my previous screen shot

Check your email archives.

Verify that you are still logging in through the same way as you did before, e.g. if you logged in using email address + password in the past, that you’re still doing so now.

Starting to log in with e.g. Google or Apple may have created a second account.

A (previous) employee could also have connected the domain to their personal Cloudflare account.

Alternatively, you can through your domain registrar, Heart Internet Limited, change the name server delegation for the domain to become edward and liz.

Doing that will make you start over from the beginning, which means you will lose all the configurations (DNS records, WAF rules, et al), that you (may have) had on the previous Cloudflare account, with the name servers davina and seth.

:point_up_2:

To fix that part after recovering domain access with the name server change, you will need to request your hosting provider(s) to provide you with the relevant DNS record(s) to use.
