I have been told that a third party hosting my site can’t send emails to my private email address and isn’t receiving them from that address. I don’t understand it well, but they said I probably have my MX files configured incorrectly. When I clicked on the guide to set up subdomains for two new mail servers in the support section of Cloudflare, I received an “Oops, you’re not authorized to have access to this page.”
As currently set up, my MX files are correctly configured according the information provided by my private email host. Don’t know how to get emails sent through and received at my private email address through a third party hosting my site… Can anyone help?
Make sure and DNS records involved with email are set to
If you want more help, post the domain.
Domain name is drmikephd.com
MX, SRV and TXT records have no cloud present, orange or grey
(My [email protected] emails are forwarded to
[email protected] and I usually reply from that account.)
Your MX records look alright. So emails should actually arrive at the destination. What is the actual problem? Best is to post screenshots.
Also, how is the macromobile domain related to the one you mentioned?
macromobilemarketing.com is another site, and I use the email account
connected to it for business purposes. I have those emails forwarded to
[email protected]
I don’t actually know how to describe the problem, and I’m not sure what
kind of screenshot would help. I can send and receive emails sent
directly to or from the [email protected] address. I have a website,
hosted by Kajabi. They are supposed to send out marketing emails through
their site and allow the emails to go out under a private email address,
such as [email protected], instead of their own email server. I cannot
seem to make the connection between Kajabi and Cloudflare and/or my
private email server. Kajabi says that the problem must be with
Cloudflare or my private email server.
My guess is you have somewhere a host configured that is proxied through Cloudflare () and hence they cant connect, but without further information and screenshot that is impossible to confirm.
You might want to contact your service provider and maybe they can clarify whats going on. Cloudflare cant do anything as they do not handle email in the first place. You can try to unproxy all your records and check if it works then.

Both the private email and the third party are having me go round in
circles —
That just shows your DNS entries, but these are okay, arent they? So the question is what fails and thats something only your provider can clarify. Should you have any error messages you can certainly post their screenshots here too.
