Cloudflare is not able to connect cloudflare pages to my custom namecheap domain.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
I have created a cloudflare pages project which can be access at mansoor.pages.dev
Then i have added my domain to cloudflare websites, added the cloudflare assigned nameservers to my namecheap domain. Cloudflare has auto created dns records for my domain and shows active after some time.
Next, I have setup a custom domain for my cloudflare pages project which is mansoor.pages.dev and the custom domain is mansoor.dev and the domain registrar is namecheap. This is where i hit problem, after some time the custom domain initialization fails with error: Inactive (Error) and sometimes the error is: CNAME record not set
Well, the site is working on mansoor.dev (you probably want to add the www name as a custom domain as well, since it’s still pointing to something else).
I’ve seen it get “stuck” on that error for long periods of time, while also working, so maybe just wait and see if the error goes away, since the domain name is actually working.
ok thats strange. I can not access on my laptop but i can access on my phone.
Can you please tell me exactly what values i should add to dns records for www. I already have one, not sure i can add another one with www?
Delete the www entry you have (it’s pointing at the Namecheap parking page). Then go back to your Pages project, and add another custom domain. Enter www.mansoor.dev. The DNS record will be created automatically.
