Thank you. I checked the DNS records, and they still show the old “DNS only” records. No new records with “Proxied” have been added. Is this okay?
You should now be able to change the record to Proxied yourself.
I’m new to Cloudflare and a bit confused. Should I change the existing CNAME for www to a proxied one, or do I need to create a new CNAME with shop domain as give in the doc?
If you want to use O2O for the apex domain as well as the www subdomain, you need to replace your existing A record with a CNAME record (name: @, value shops.myshopify.com) and also change to value of your existing www CNAME.
But I’d recommend to only proxy the apex domain directly to Shopify and have the www subdomain redirect to the apex domain instead. It’s a bad practice to have the same content available under different names.

Yes, but both should be proxied.

I guess this worked itself out on its own. Both records are now proxied.
