What is the issue you’re encountering

I am unable to work out where I’ve gone wrong in the DNS setup for Cloudflare/Squarespace and the deployment of my custom HTML

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I’ve checked my DNS settings, all of which seem to be correct both on Cloudflare and Squarespace. I’m not sure where I’m going wrong.

You need to clarify this with your host. Pause Cloudflare and contact your host to get your site to load on HTTPS. You possibly need to update the DNS entries according to your host. Once it does, you can unpause Cloudflare again - not before

No I don’t.

Custom HTML pages have to be called “index.html”. No other names will work.

I have fixed the issue.

You did not what? If you are using Pages, then yes the default page is always index.html.
