No option to c reate sub-domains in Cloudflare

I need to set a sub-domain up but its impossible with the child domain set up guide. The guide is full of contradictioy rabbit holes and contradictions. I’m thinking of advertising for someone to sort this out but I would have to give them my master login details. Whats the worst that can happen?.

What is the domain and the subdomain?

ddallen.com and shop.ddallen.com - however, I also have ddallen.store which expired. I wanted to move the Shopify store from .store onto the sub-domain. However, I have now decided to renew the .store domain and keep everything as is. So I don’t need to create a sub-domain on ddallen.com now. Thanks for replying, though.

A subdomain is a DNS entry. DNS entries are managed in the administration console for the zone.

To create a subdomain in Cloudflare, follow these steps:

Log in to your Cloudflare account.
Select the domain you want to add the subdomain to.
Go to the DNS settings page.
Click on “Add record”.
Select the type of DNS record you want to create (e.g., A, CNAME, etc.).
Enter the name of your subdomain (e.g., “sub” if you want to create sub.example.com).
Enter the IP address or destination for the subdomain.
Save the record.

Please don’t ever do that. No one competent would ever ask you to do that. If you ever need to allow access to your Cloudflare account you can invite a user to your account. This allows you to remove access when it is no longer needed.

As @cscharff explained, you dont need to create a child zone. Creating the necessary records is all that is required, should you decide to revist movng the store under your main domain name.
