No DNS records on lookup despite name servers and records being present

Hi All,

I was alerted to this issue when I stopped being able to send or receive external emails using my Gapps managed email account.

The domain is

It has it’s DNS records managed on Cloudflare. My domain registrar (123reg) and a whois lookup confirm that the name servers are Cloudflare’s, and are correct.

However a DNS lookup on the domain says there are no DNS records listed.

Not sure exactly if the two are related but given the issue coincided with the mid October date where I was supposed to be able use the domain transfer service I am wondering if this might have something to do with it?

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Whois shows the domain has been registered until 2020, however it also states the registration has been suspended. I’d contact the registrar to clarify that.
