No access to email associated with domain

What is the name of the domain?

coopvoisins.ca

What is the issue you’re encountering

I am a part of the new management team and we don’t have access to the old email account or any information/credentials associated with our company’s domain and website (but we think it is hosted by cloudflare). What can I do to regain possession of the website?

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Contacted old website maintenance providers.

Cloudflare is likely not hosting your site (unless it is using Cloudflare Pages, but from the site copyright date I guess not) but just providing proxy and DNS services.

Account recovery steps are here…

If you can’t access the Cloudflare account, you’ll need to take control of the DNS by changing the nameservers at your registrar…

… to point to those for a new Cloudflare account, or other DNS provider.

[add] The domain has been re-registered after the date on the site itself so seems to have expired then re-purchased. Do you actually have access to the domain registration?

Unfortunately we do not have access to anything regarding the website and can only rely on things we find online (i.e website hosting checker, domain registrar checker, etc).

If you don’t have access to the domain registrar, then you are very stuck.

Alright, thank you for the answer. Would there be a way to take down the website on the grounds that they have access to our company’s identity?
