Looks like some issue with connecting and pointeding to the correct Google hosted Website since before?

Might be you’ve got some apex * (wildcard) DNS record under the DNS tab of Cloudflare dashboard for your domain which creates such odd behaviour?

However, looks like domain isn’t using Cloudflare’s nameservers anymore:

Name Server: NS1.DNSOWL.COM
Name Server: NS2.DNSOWL.COM
Name Server: NS3.DNSOWL.COM

News domain setup on cloudflare - pulls over existing DNS records?

If you’re asking if Cloudflare will pull over existing DNS reocrds when you setup a new domain, then, yes, Cloudflare will attempt to do this. But, like any tool, this isn’t perfect and the attempt may not always find all the records, and, in rare situations, the scan may not even succeed at all.

But you can also import a zone file.

And you’ll always be able to review and amend the obtained records before cutting over.

You may want to review the resources below.

THANKS, George, for that GREAT answer for this newbie. I am quite nervous when dicking around with DNS, but I love Cloudflare and I am happy to know this Forum exists if I run into issues!

Thank you, fritex, for posting a reply. I have not changed the NSs and simply wanted assurance that Cloudflare will scan and “pull over” the existing records (George’s response below addresses it).
