New Subdomains and SSL

Hi there. We’ve recently been developing two new websites (through other providers) which will now link to some subdomains under our main domain. Each of the providers is requesting SSL certificates be implemented. Typically we would’ve done this by purchasing SSL from GoDaddy or a similar provider but are now using Cloudflare.

To provide these providers with the certificate would I just create a new Origin Server certificate and send that over to them?

Thanks so much.

Yes, as far as server certificates from Cloudflare are concerned that would be the right course of action. Of course you could also get a Lets Encrypt certificate instead. You’ll just need to provide your hosts with a valid certificate. That can be a paid one you referred to, a Let Encrypt one, or an Origin certificate. Keep in mind, the latter only works if your site is proxied.
