Neither redirect rules nor page rules seems to be working for a simple redirect

What is the issue you’re encountering

I’ve setup a Redirect Rules AND a Page Rule for a simple redirect from legal to new-legal, but it is not working

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have checked that an A name exists for the domain gitbook.network with names of gitbook.network and www, both pointing to 192.0.2.1. Both are proxied.

The CNAME for subdomain vib.gitbook.network is proxied as well. See attached images for configuration.

However, the redirect simply does not work. Can someone please tell me why?

It looks like Gitbook.io is using Cloudflare, so traffic is probably routed through their zone instead of yours.

Can you try if the same rule works if you change the address in the rule to www instead of vib? And could you also share a screenshot of your rule?
