DNS records
Is it set to Full (strict)? It is not, it’s flexible, switch to Full (strict)
Have you reviewed the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS CommunityTip for other quick fix ideas?
It’s set to flexible
I just checked and look like they are not getting updated the way i have it. ( checked from DNScheckup.com)
correction https://dnschecker.org/
forgot to tag in reply
Did you do this part
yes it’s on full (strict)
I don’t get the redirect loop issue. It just redirects a few times until it tries www, which doesn’t resolve.
Please note that a CNAME isn’t a redirect. It’s just a DNS record that will resolve your host to the IP address of the CNAME target.
If you want a Redirect, you’d need to use a Redirect Rule:
why is the dns not updating ?
What makes you say DNS is not updating?
If you need to see the exact targets for the CNAME records you entered, then you need to set Proxy Status to DNS Only .
But note that doing this makes your domain completely bypass Cloudflare’s Proxy and disables all Cloudflare protection and site acceleration features for your domain.
since I have no A or AAAA dns settings anymore and it’s still showing that it has them on dnschecker.org, i also turned off Proxy.
Your screenshot above shows a proxied CNAME
record for your apex domain. That explains why you got the Cloudflare IP.
Now you have an unproxied (ie DNS Only )
A
record to an AWS EC2 instance 3.145.xx.xx
, and your domain shows an SSL certificate mismatch error.
If all you want to do is use Cloudflare to redirect trymindwisehealth.com
to mindwisehealth.com
, just suspend your disbelief for a moment and follow the step-by-step instructions in the link @sdayman provided earlier, instead of just trying random things.
