I took literally two hours trying to find how to host my website through Cloudflare.
I thought I did everything correctly, but now that I want to publish my site, it says that the server from Cloudflare is not found. This is extremely frustrating because during the weekend is the only time that I have to do projects like this.
I have emailed Cloudflare 3 days ago - no response, I have tried calling response. Cloudflare is going on my list of “bad customer service companies”
I simply need to add www. onto my website and host it through Cloudflare, it shouldn’t be this hard. If it is hard is because the website interface for Cloudflare does an extremely bad job of explaining how to host one’s website. I have gone through support articles, none of them can explain what to do in an easy way.
A, AAAA, and CNAME records can have their traffic routed through the Cloudflare system. Add more records using this form, and click the cloud next to each record to toggle Cloudflare on or off.
An A, AAAA or CNAME record was not found for the www subdomain. The www.____.com subdomain will not resolve.
An A, AAAA or CNAME record was not found pointing to the root domain. The ____ domain will not resolve.
An MX record was not found for your root domain. An MX record is required for mail to reach @ ____ addresses.
Cloudflare is not a hosting provider. Cloudflare will proxy your website traffic and offer several security and performance benefits, such as DDoS protection and caching on its more than 170 servers worldwide.
You need to hire a hosting provider to host your website, than point your domain registrar records to Cloudflare, and your DNS records in Cloudflare to your origin server (your hosting provider)
