Recently, I attempted to add DS records for DNSSEC at GoDaddy, but their system flagged that there are no DNSSEC records in the zone file for this domain, which is preventing the addition of DS records and could potentially disrupt my website’s functionality. To proceed with securing my domain with DNSSEC, I need the DNSSEC records to be added to the zone file on Cloudflare’s side. Could you please add the necessary DNSSEC records
What feature, service or problem is this related to?
DNSSEC
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
Reattempted to add DS records for DNSSEC at GoDaddy, but their system flagged that there are no DNSSEC records in the zone file for this domain, which is preventing the addition of DS records.
I have enabled the DNSSEC on cloudflare and trying to add those DS records on Godaddy registrar. When we reached out to Godaddy support on this their responded as “cloudflare don’t have DNSSEC records in their zone for this domain, so it isn’t allowing you to add DS records”
This is a test GoDaddy have invented, there is no real need for it. I believe this “test’s” only purpose is to make it harder for you to use other hosting companies.
Can you try to disable and enable it again? Cloudflare should normally start serving the DNSSEC records after you have enabled it, even if you have not set the DS record yet.
