I am moving the host for my sites to Siteground and they recommended to delete my DNS records on Cloudflare and to just add the NS records for Siteground (ns1.siteground.net & ns2.siteground.net).
I did this about 4 hours ago and thought the update would have applied by now, but on Siteground the status is still showing that the domain (delovesto.com) is not pointing to them and if I do a “whois” the nameservers are still showing as the Cloudflare ones.
I’m assuming what I have been told by Siteground is correct and at the current time I just want to get the site transferred to the new host, I plan to setup new rules in Cloudflare later if I need them.
Am I doing the right thing and if so how long can I expect it to take for the DNS updates to apply? Previous changes seem to have been fairly quick.
Thanks

Reading again it sounds like I may need to keep the Cloudflare nameservers but then point to Siteground by adding NAME and A records (and presumably MX records as well). I’m confused at this point but most importantly I have a site that has been down for 5 hours.
I believe I need to delete/deactivate DNSSEC before I can change the nameservers. I deactivated it, but after 30 minutes it’s still showing the button with “Cancel deletion”. Sounds like it’s waiting for the registrar to delete the DS record, but Cloudflare is the registrar, so I would have hoped this would be fast.
Any ideas please?
