I have a domain owned by Fasthosts. But when I was trying to verify ownership of my domain to open a Google Workspace I discovered that I needed to do this with Cloudflare. I have never heard of Cloudflare so I am confused by this. I do not have an account either. Is it possible to verify my domain with Google via Cloudflare?
Who/what told you that you need to verify ownership of your domain with Cloudflare?
Fasthosts just said that Cloudflare control the DNS settings of my domain.
If that’s the case then you’d definitely have an account here to control it - the DNS for a domain is available at https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns
Do you have any emails at all in the past from Cloudflare?
No. Nothing. 5 mins ago I had never heard of Cloudflare.
How do I add TXTvalue to verify ownership of the domain for Google?
That domain does appear to be using Cloudflare’s nameservers:
$ whois eastcityfilms.com
Name Server: AMIT.NS.CLOUDFLARE.COM
Name Server: CASS.NS.CLOUDFLARE.COM
Name Server: cass.ns.cloudflare.com
Name Server: amit.ns.cloudflare.com
However, it doesn’t appear to be proxied (orange-clouded) though. It’s resolving to:
$ dig eastcityfilms.com
; <<>> DiG 9.16.27-Debian <<>> eastcityfilms.com

If I’m not mistaken, those are Squarespace IPs.
Yes, the website is Squarespace.
Do you have any idea how I might verify ownership of this domain to me to open a Google Workspace?
