I purchased and registered my domain through Cloudflare and have been trying to follow the steps to set it up. I’m stuck on changing the nameservers- I’m not super techy but I have done some research on where to navigate to to edit these and there aren’t any options on the page. I’ve confirmed that my registrar is Cloudflare, so I’m confused why my nameservers would be invalid to begin with. At any rate, I simply can’t find a place to edit them within the dashboard so that the error message stops showing up prohibiting me from getting my site up.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
I’ve looked through pages of forums, discussion platforms and articles on Cloudflare’s dashboard. I’ve used DNS finders to confirm my domain being registered with Cloudflare. I’ve used their AI assistant to give me instructions to navigate to where I could edit the name servers, which weren’t options. (Overview>DNS>Set up doesn’t work because I’m not seeing and edit button. Domain>DNS>Records>Nameservers>Edit has the same issue.) Help pls lol
What feature, service or problem is this related to?
Will that still work if my domain is inactive? I tried it earlier and didn’t get an email to any of my accounts and I’m thinking that may be the issue.
I don’t see it in either of those. Under domain management it gives options for registering a domain or transferring a domain and says this:
Register and renew domains with no markup or hidden fees.
Hmm ok. Is there another way to figure out what account that’s with, or do I just try following the prompts for forgot email again? I’m just confused because I didn’t get an email when I did that.
I’m just seeing a confirmation from a few days ago that I used with google when I remembered I had to get this figured out lol.
But, where would I make a support ticket? I tried to find that on the website and it just kept taking me to the AI service lol
Did you also check the spam folders of all your email addresses?
Can you also check again that you didn’t use the option to login to CF with your Google/iCloud account? CF support took a look at your ticket and they seem confident that there are no problems, other than that you didn’t use the correct email address to login.
