Nameservers are still pending, but glue records updated

I have added 40 zones in my account.

I have created vanity NS values and all have them - the glue record is updated at the parent domain and all are using those 4 NS values.

Some are active in CF, but some are in pending status which I don’t understand!

I removed one of the zones and the website broke; I reinstated the zone and normal service was restored.

Any idea why some sites are active, some are pending, yet the glue record switch was >48hrs ago, more than the TTL in place with the registrar?

Any thoughts or advice most welcome.

Without knowing the affected domains, the utility of any responses here is going to be rather limited.

So toshiba.at is one domain that’s using the NS values associated with toshiba-europe.com.

ns1.toshiba-europe.com, ns2 and ns3 are set as glue records at toshiba-europe.com

Those 3 glue records are pointing at the IP addresses associated with the vanity NS’ at Cloudflare which we’ve configured at an account level.

Toshiba.de, however, is ‘active’ in CF but is using the exact same NS values as toshiba.at! I’m not sure why there was be discrepancy given they’re shared NS values.

In addition, I know the zone for toshiba.at is active as if I remove it completely the main website goes offline (no local DNS in place), and by reinstating the zone in CF the site(s) are then active again!

toshiba.at is missing one of the 4 nameservers at the registrar.

One other thing I notice is that ns1, ns2, n3, ns4 are being de-proxied by Cloudflare (they start _dc-mx in the DNS for toshiba-europe.com). Do you have a record for these that’s pointing at a proxied record?
