Nameserver doesn't exist at the registry

Hi,

I’m having trouble changing the nameservers at my registrar.

They are reporting the following:-

Unable to add nameserver melinda.ns.cloudfare.com to OpenSRS domain *****.com due to: Nameserver [melinda.ns.cloudfare.com] doesn’t exist at the registry

Any ideas?

May I ask you to post and share your domain name in bracketed dot [.] notation here with us so we could double-check, troubleshoot and provide some feedback information?

Who is your domain registrar? Have you tried reaching out and contacting them about this?

I haven’t had this error/warning yet, not familiar with it, however a gives me this:

• Unable to update nameservers: Nameserver doesn`t exist at the registry - jpswade

• Tucows – Nameserver doesn’t exist at the registry | Mike Says Meh

Might be the interface offers multiple things, therefore you’re trying to add/change a NS type of DNS records instead of changing domain nameserver (there is a difference)?
