Naked domain with non www

#1

Hi there, my website gets redirected twice:

301 Moved Permanently

301 Moved Permanently

200 OK

I would like it to be a naked domain as in not have the www. redirect. this is because google page speed insights doesn’t favor two redirects. how can i achieve this please?

That last redirect to www most likely occurs on your web server. Either a configuration at your host (Dreamhost lets you pick), a .htaccess settings, or the software you’re running (Wordpress lets you set the URL).

There’s also a slight chance you’ve added a Page Rule at Cloudflare to do this, but you’d probably know if you did.

HTTP/1.1 200 OK

Link: ; rel=“https://api.w.org/”, ; rel=shortlink
Server: cloudflare

from this log it seems to be cloudflare doing it?

That’s only showing the final result, not what caused it.

Has it always been this way? (redirecting to www)

Seems like you fixed it with page rules?
