now i turned off the under attack mode and it is fixed. but my question is what does under attack mode do?

i got the site is down or moved to another url.
but after turning the under attack it is fixed

i had a problem with my site that my bandwidth was used too much. so i turned that mode on. if i turn it on for next 5 days, will the site experience problems?
