What is the issue you’re encountering

When I try to create a proxied AAAA record, I get “Target fd4f:241a:ca06:a64e:12b1:dfff:feaa:5d0b is not allowed for a proxied record. (Code: 9003)”

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I don’t really know what to try. This same AAAA record works fine in Namecheap, and I can hit http://[fd4f:241a:ca06:a64e:12b1:dfff:feaa:5d0b] in my browser.

Create a proxied AAAA record with the IPv6 address fd4f:241a:ca06:a64e:12b1:dfff:feaa:5d0b.

That’s a Unique local address, which is not globally routable.

See Wikipedia: Unique local address - Wikipedia

Cloudflare will also accept it as long as the hostname is not Proxied (just as your NameCheap setup was not proxied).

But to use Cloudflare’s Proxy, the IP must be globally routable.
