My domain is not active on Cloudflare, domain is still pending

I seem to be having issues verifying ownership of my domain, while it has been still pending, for some time now. I have tried altering a few of the records and used auto setup to obtain all the DNS records automatically, but the domain is still pending. I have attached screenshots of my records over at my hosting provider and from Cloudflare here. I turned DNNSEC off before the update. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The DNS settings at your hosting provider (including setting Cloudflare nameservers as NS records) will have no effect. You have set Cloudflare nameservers at your registrar and the domain appears to be active…

If you are still getting a pending message from Cloudflare, check which 2 Cloudflare nameservers are allocated to the zone in your account at the bottom of the DNS page here…

…as another set of Cloudflare nameservers do exist for the domain which means you may be in the wrong account for the domain, or you have deleted and re-added the domain to the account which has changed the allocated nameservers.

The nameservers shown at the bottom of the Cloudflare DNS app screenshot do not match the ones shown in whois. Since this domain uses Cloudflare registrar, one of the following two possible issues is likely.

  1. You are editing the DNS in a different account than the one that has the domain registration.
  2. You have deleted the domain from your Cloudflare account and adding it back changed your assigned nameservers.

For the first, you just need to sign into the correct Cloudflare account. The second requires a registrar support request to Cloudflare.

I only have one Cloudflare account. The nameservers were registered already, I am being told that my assigned nameservers are the ones listed as Amir and Vita. Where should I put those Nameservers at my host or here on Cloudflare?

Your domain is registered using Cloudflare registrar. That means that you cannot change the nameservers. You will need to open a registrar support request from your Cloudflare dashboard.

But as Support indicated on your ticket 3232767, the domain is not active in your account. Here are some options to identify the account in which the domain is located. First logout of your dashboard.

The only way you’ll be able to regain access is by having access to the email address of the account.

If you know the email and have 2FA issues: https://dash.cloudflare.com/login-help (does not sound like a 2fa issue)

I was told it was because the domain wasn’t purchased from Cloudflare, so in a nutshell that means it’s not able to go active until I provide an invoice from Cloudflare showing I bought the domain.

II did not notice that on the ticket and it’s pretty clearly registered via Cloudflare Registrar in checking whois.

On the ticket I see the agent mentioned it “is registered under a Cloudflare account, but not, the email address/account you are writing in from.”

Did you try this approach to see if you can recover access?
