My DNS register, sudenly stops working. (ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED)

What is the name of the domain?

gustavoanjos.com

What is the error number?

ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

What is the error message?

ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

What is the issue you’re encountering

The domain suddenly becames impossible to access. I checked my Firewall, and 443 is open.

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

DNS not responding/updating

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Go to gustavoanjos.com
See that sites don’t connects (at least on Brazil).

Your domain generally resolves fine → DNS Checker - DNS Check Propagation Tool

This error message suggests an issue with the DNS resolution and if it’s only certain ISPs, then either their standard resolver has issues or these users use other resolvers which cannot resolve your site.

Unfortunately, Cloudflare cannot fix this and you need to debug the issue with the users in question.

Thanks for your reply. The problem isn’t with certains ISPs, is general. Even in Cloudflare speed measurement page, they return a error saying that the site is offline. Even to me, the site stopped to works.

That’s a whole different issue here and will be firewall related.

The site loads all right → sitemeer.com/#de4bc8d97b5a05eba196f8737d7ad61637f4096f

I see…
I just don’t understand why is this happening. My server is with the firewall okay, none rules blocking none of the necessary ports, either in the cloud panel, and in the UFW side, evrything it’s okay…

But this is not a firewall issue but a resolution one. You need to address this with your users or they with their ISPs.

Can you reproduce the issue?

I can reproduce the problem, and other users can either, so, isn’t a exclusive problem to one ISP

Some users can access now, just me that can’t… I think my ISP it’s blocking me

Yeah, as mentioned you need to contact the ISP.

What’s the output of this?

nslookup gustavoanjos.com
nslookup www.gustavoanjos.com
nslookup gustavoanjos.com 1.1.1.1
nslookup www.gustavoanjos.com 1.1.1.1
nslookup gustavoanjos.com 8.8.8.8
nslookup www.gustavoanjos.com 8.8.8.8

So, I have contacted my ISP, and today, my site became on-line (to me) again!:partying_face:
Thanks for you’r help sandro!
