About a week ago I moved my server from digitalocean company to heroku. I updated the DNS accordingly, but the root domain still points to digitalocean. There is no problem with the WWW domain, going to the new site. How can I fix root domain dns problem? The strange thing is that when I delete the site from my Cloudflare account, the www domain becomes ineffective, but the root domain continues to forward to digitalocean.
I have not seen DigitalOcean referenced in similar cases, but this has all the signs of an active Cloudflare for SaaS account taking priority. Take a look at the following Tutorial. Using Liberate The Hostname on your apex domain should have you fixed in minutes.
