My client has no access to their Cloudflare account

My client’s internal IT lost the Cloudflare credentials and no one knows what account was used to setup their domain. They have been acquired by a larger corporation now, and the internal IT for that team wants access to Cloudflare. We don’t have it as the MSP, the internal person who did have it has since left the company with no credentials left behind, and we need to find some way to get into their account. All we have are the domains. We don’t know what email address is tied to the Cloudflare account. Any suggestions?

Go to dash.cloudflare.com and press “Forgot your email”. This will email the holder of the account where the domain is currently active with recovery instructions so hopefully someone in the organisation will receive that and can get access.

If that doesn’t work, then you will have to take control of the domain by changing the nameservers at the registrar to point at a new Cloudflare account, or another DNS provider.

(If your domain name is registered with Cloudflare Registrar, you can recover the domain by raising a support ticket and following the instructions given).
