MXtoolbox is reporting that no DNS records exist for my root domain:

Hi,

I am a real newbie to such DNS record thingy.
I couldn’t get it fixed even with multiple emails with my Cartnetics support.
They are puzzled too as to why this happened.

Please see attached.

Appreciate anyone that could help me solve this issue.

Thanks and best regards
Jit

Make sure you set the correct nameserver for your domain. I check the whois and it show that you set name server for your domain now are:
matt.ns.cloudflare.com
olivia.ns.cloudflare.com

If you are at Cloudflare Dashboard / DNS management then scroll down and look at Cloudflare Nameservers section and check if it match those appeared on whois for your domain.

Yes, it is, huyhoa:)

Please try to clear cache at Cloudflare and wait for domain to fully update new NS
I checked your domain and it show NS not resolved at many location

You need to set the CNAME to :grey: DNS Only. When a CNAME is set to :orange:, Cloudflare publishes A and AAAA records for that hostname which point to Cloudflare proxy IPs. Since you need a CNAME published, you need to use :grey: for your www record.

You also appear to have invalid DNSSEC. That is going to need to be fixed before anything works.

What do you mean?
I don’t understand.

How do you manage to check?
How can I check it too?

Fix your DNSSEC first. Nothing is going to work until you do that

How do I fix the DNSSEC, Eric?

Thank you, Epic.network, but I could not understand and don’t know how to do it after reading the article.
Any simpler way that I could do it?:pray:

Your domain is registered with GoDaddy, and your domain registrar is where you need to update your DNSSEC configuration, so you could always see if GoDaddy support will assist you with it.

This is GoDaddy’s reply:-

So how can I do this on Cloudflare?
I have no issues with my past domains bought on GoDaddy, DNS managed by Cloudflare.
Wondering if it has to do with the ".shop’ that is causing the issue?!

Hello there,

A few things you need to fix:

  1. Update your NS records if you want to use Cloudflare.
  2. Delete the DNSSEC record from Godaddy as pointed out by @epic.network . You can see the reference here:
Delete a DS record | Domains - GoDaddy Help IN

Thank you for feedback information.

There is no DNSSEC issue at all. DNSSEC feature seems to be enabled at the DNS tab of Cloudflare dashboard, however no DS record being added to GoDaddy
.
@jitinbox can you confirm DNSSEC is enabled if you scroll down a bit at the DNS tab of CF dashboard?

Rather the SSL issue as far as I get SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER or NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

Before moving to Cloudflare, was your Website working over HTTPS connection?

May I ask what SSL option have you got selected under the SSL/TLS tab at Cloudflare dashboard for your domain ( Flexible, Full, Full Strict … )?

Thank you, everyone.

I managed to fix it in a simpler way.
The missing step is this:-

and all get connected correctly now.:pray:
