MX and IMAP Records - No Email Communication

I’ve searched the posts and tried some of the earlier recommendations for setting up email records in cloudflare. So far no luck.

In Thunderbird, when attempting to get messages all we get is a spinning cursor and when trying to send an email the communication with the mail server times out.

What am I doing wrong?

Those SRV records point to a proxied hostname that will not respond to email requests. What told you that those records were necessary? Your mail apps should connect to the ‘mail’ host name for sending and receiving email.
