What is the issue you’re encountering

I wanted advice prior to moving my domain to have minimal email downtiime

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I am moving this domain to another server and want to minimize the email downtime. I have Gmail with CAME and MX pointing to Google Mail. I have these on my current DNS records on the server, and since later I started using Cloudflare, they are also on Cloudflare. I am assuming that Cloudflare takes care of directing the email traffic to Google servers now. But should I also copy CNAME mail and MX records on the new server’s DNS as well? Or it does not really matter. Will appreciate your input.Thanks.

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

DNS records

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

NA

Authoritative DNS servers are set at your domain registrar. Your DNS records only need to be defined in your authoritative DNS, which you indicated is Cloudflare. You do not need to create DNS elsewhere. There is no need to configure a zone on your webserver.
