Mixed content errors - hard/soft failures

ssl

hello all,
adding sssl to a friends website www.donsilvasautorepair.com and on this one i am getting the following errors

Mixed Content - Errors
Hard Failure A file with an insecure url of “http://www.donsilvasautorepair.com/wp-includes/js/wp-emoji-release.min.js?ver=4.9.5” was loaded via the javascript file: https://www.donsilvasautorepair.com/ on line 30. The insecure URL may not be directly contained in the script file and may exist elsewhere.
You may need to contact your web hosting provider for assistance.
This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return.

Soft Failure An image with an insecure url of “http://www.donsilvasautorepair.com/wp-content/themes/fix-ride/skins/repair/images/bg_over.png” was loaded on line: 287 of https://www.donsilvasautorepair.com/.
This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return.

Soft Failure An image with an insecure url of “http://www.donsilvasautorepair.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Brightness_Contrast-8.jpg” was loaded on line: 510 of https://www.donsilvasautorepair.com/.
This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return.

Soft Failure An image with an insecure url of “http://donsilvasautorepair.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/marker.png” was loaded on line: 1 of https://www.donsilvasautorepair.com/.
Errors that are reported on line 1 are generally not part of the source code. This error may be caused by an external javascript file which is writing to the page, however we are unable to reliably detect these scripts in our automated test.

i have it on flexible ssl atm as full puts the site to 404
i also tried to run find/replace for the soft images and came up empty

You may have issues with images added by external scripts or CSS files. You should correct the first problem (the hard failure) in your source code and then verify that all scripts adding images in your DOM add them with HTTPS or in protocol agnostic/relative paths.

i have no idea what any of that means

Here’s a good plugin for changing URLs to HTTPS:

Use this to change all “http://donsilvasautorepair.com” to become “https://www.donsilvasautorepair.com

Not only does the site need to use https in the URL, but your site is set to use www in front of the domain name. The linked images don’t have HTTP or WWW. This search/replace will fix both.

I don’t see the other failures, but you may have to repeat the search/replace process for “http://www. donsilvasautorepair.com” to “https://www. donsilvasautorepair.com

Thank you so much that allowed the padlock on the site now but has an error on whynopadlock for too many redirects. anything i should worry about?

#7

I don’t know why it’s saying that. I’m not seeing any redirects when I visit the site.

Even on Pingdom, all responses are 200s. No redirects. Perhaps Padlock is using a cached response.

ok thanks very much
