Missing "cf-edge-cache: cache, platform=wordpress" after installation

Hi,

I was hoping someone could give me some advice too. I have followed the FlyingPress and CF APO setup guides. However, I’m missing the following when testing my site “cf-edge-cache: cache, platform=wordpress” This line is simply not in my header as it seems.

I previously had an issue with the APO plugin showing an error (cf-edge-cache missing). But this is gone after I reinstalled the plugin.

Without the “cf-edge-cache: cache, platform=wordpress”, does this mean my page is not cashed on Edge? How could I fix this? I already tried to reinstall FlyingPress and APO.

After the re-installation of both, FlyingPress and CF APO, CF is also missing the cash. I’m just waiting to see if this fixes itself.

My website is www.solartrader.com.au

Kind Regards,
Ben

Hi,

No. The cf-edge-cache header indicates the plugin is properly installed and running on your site. APO does not need the plugin to run, though it is certainly recommended. The plugin will help with cache invalidation, which happens within 30 seconds globally after new content is published, but may take much longer if the plugin is not installed.

You can see that APO is running because of the other header, cf-apo-via. When the value is tcache, the page has been cached. When the value is origin, xyz, it means a visit to the origin was necessary, and the subsequent value (xyz) will indicate the reason.

Check your plugin installation and if needed re-install it or perhaps use the plugin Health Check & Troubleshooting to disable other plugins until you find out what is causing the missing cf-edge-cache header.

Hi Cbrandt,

Thank you for your message. This confirmed my thoughts and current investigation. At this stage, it looks like it is FlyingPress that is causing the issue as the cf-edge-cache: cache, platform=wordpress” is there prior to the activation of the FlyingPress plugin.
I have contacted FlyingPress for assistance.

Kind Regards,
Ben
