So i set an A record for mc. for my domain senectusgaming.com for a minecraft server
The domain ip is not working for my friends and i was wondering is this dns propagation which takes long time or anything wrong with the mc server
also it is dedicated server so i didnt put SRV record
they can join via the ipv4 no problem just its the mc.senectusgaming.com is giving them unknown host error and i see in console read time-out error
Both IP and mc.senectusgaming.com work for me.
Are your friends trying to connect to mc.senectusgaming.com or just senectusgaming.com? With the record you created, they need to enter the version with mc in front, otherwise they would receive an unknown host error.
they are trying to connect to mc.senectusgaming and its giving them unknown host and in the console i see read time-out error from them
Really hard to debug than without having access to the problematic client.
However, if you can see their connection attempts in the server logs, the problem will not be with your Cloudflare configuration.
can it be because the dns is still propagating or?
its just the mc.senectusgaming.co no idea also why its being weird the ipv4 itself works fine no problems
If you can see their login attempts in the server console, then no.
