Making new A record for mail server but not working

Hi,

I am trying to create a new A record with name:mail.intuitivesolutionsllc.ca but every time I try and save it, it reverts to “mail” which is causing my mail server to not work with my cellular device POP/IMAP. I have all of the correct records now installed and my hosting company thinks “mail” is cloudflares shortened version of mail.intuitivesolutionsllc.ca but I still can’t access my IMAP email account on my samsung. What could be the issue?

This isn’t the issue - that’s how DNS works, the name is prefixed onto your domain.

Make sure it’s DNS () - proxied records () will not work for POP/IMAP.
