Main domain with CloudFlare, delegate sub domain to another DNS server

Hi, I am new to Cloudflare and helping a customer get their site protected.

They are working with a 3rd party on this site, and currently, a sub domain is fully delegated to this 3rd parties control.

Once this domain’s DNS is being managed by Cloudflare is there a way to delegate this in the same way as they have setup today?

I spoke to Cloudflare sales and they say there is a way, but I need to submit a support case to get this documentation, this is the only place I can find to do this.

• Create a NS record: subdomain to ns1.yourdomain.com
• Create an A record: ns1 to ip.add.re.ss of your nameserver

Example:
root domain: duck.xyz
Subdomain to delegate: donald
Name server IP: 123.456.789.1

donald
NS
ns1.duck.xyz

ns1
A
123.456.789.1

You can add more delegated zones later by adding NS records for Daisy, Dagobert…
