Mail server error

I keep getting this error message after trying to check email. “Connection to server mail.dougalsongs.com timed out.” How do we fix this? The server pings at 17ms.

That hostname is . Cloudflare do not proxy email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3 etc), so any hostname used for email needs to be DNS Only.

On the DNS tab of your Cloudflare dashboard.

Find the record you want to change, click on Edit, then click the Slider under “Proxy status”, then click Save.

Interesting, I am no longer getting the error message, or any messages for that matter. It does not seem to checking for email.
