MAC DNS information 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1

Hello there,

I have configured my Mac DNS with cloudflare DNSs - ipv4 and ipv6 - I am in trying to access this website - bpinet.pt - and all browsers Safari, Firefox, Chrome says it can reach that that.

When I remove those DNSs and put the internet provider default ones it work fine.

Why? This is happening since November 1st.

It’s working for me, but only when going directly to the www url, www.bpinet.pt.

$ dig www.bpinet.pt @8.8.8.8 +short
195.85.221.42
$ dig www.bpinet.pt @1.1.1.1 +short
195.85.221.42

So this is not a 1.1.1.1 issue, the website owner just hasn’t set up DNS records for the non-www “root” domain.

Thank You so much.

What does it mean? What do you suggest me to ask them to do?

Also when I am in London or Madrid this website does not respond as well.

Unfortunately since it happens for both Google DNS and CF, it’s not a CF issue, therefore how to go about fixing it is up to them. You could let them know there’s an issue, but it might take a while for them to do anything about it. Otherwise, there’s nothing CF can do to fix it.

Even if I use www.bpinet.pt the problem remains there. Please see attached file.

Yep, their servers are not properly set up (or are otherwise broken):

CF can’t do anything about this, the people who run the DNS for the website need to fix it. If you absolutely need to visit this website you can add your ISP’s DNS to your DNS server list.

Anyway, Thank You so much.
