cannot update A Record
Lost access to email and need to change the DNS A RECORDs. I have CPANEL AND WORDPRESS ACCESS - just need to connect towneandcountryinc <.com> to my Cloudflare account contentcreatorsmedia@ <gmail.com>
A little more info… the previous web company has gone out of business. The REGISTRAR is Cloudflare, I just need access to the site to repoint the A RECORD.
Assuming the Cloudflare account is yours and you’ve just lost access due to the email issue, as there is a domain registered in the account you’ll need to raise a Cloudflare support ticket to ask for help.
Thanks - yes that is the problem - it is an account associated with a company that went out of business.
I have access to the owner of the company and I have worked with them since 2017 but I cannot get access into the Registration details to change the A RECORD.
Not sure how to go about re-assigning the DOMAIN within Cloudflare.
For lost account access you’d normally create a new Cloudflare account, set up the DNS again and work with Registrar support to move the domain registration into that account. In your case the domain is registered in someone else’s account so it’s going to be hard for you to prove domain ownership when your email and hosting is also inaccessible to you.
You’ll need to open a ticket and see what can be done.
