What is the issue you’re encountering
The account holder of a business domain has passed away. They were a one person operation and account recovery is impossible. The domain in their account has expired and cannot renew due to the billing accounts going away with the account holder’s passing. Within the month, the business that runs on this domain will lose email and website functionality once the domain passes the 30 day period.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
We have created 2 tickets with Cloudflare support to request the process for us to prove ownership of this domain. They have closed both tickets before responding and then they go quiet once we re-open it. We can provide the invoices at the time the domain was purchased and email communication between the account holder and the owner of the domain verifying the purchase on behalf of the owner. We are currently also sending email to Cloudflare using that domain in question.
All we need is some process to prove we own the domain and get it recovered before the domain is lost and business operations are affected.
We just need to prove domain ownership which we can do, but Cloudflare won’t give us support.
