Looking into setting up a cloudflare CDN

So my company is interested in setting up a new CDN, but during the initial setup, it’s asking me for my domain name… I’m a little confused by this mainly because we are planning on a subdomain for CDN, but the field complains when I put in the planned subdomain name…

am I expected to put in our active primary domain nome here and a sub will be created later? or is the system actually wanting the primary domain name to host/control?

Cloudflare does not use a special subdomain for CDN. It’s a transparent proxy, so anything that can be cached will be cached at the original URL from your site.

If there’s some software asking for a CDN subdomain name, you can ignore that.
