I’m in the process of planning my move to Cloudflare. In reviewing the documentation, for a full setup (https://developers.cloudflare.com/dns/zone-setups/full-setup/setup/) I am curious to know if I can pause for a period of time between Steps 2 and 3.

In other words, when I add my domain, can I take my time reviewing my records for accuracy before I actually update my nameservers, or does that have to occur immediately after?

Yes, Cloudflare will typically keep your domain in the ‘pending’ state for a few weeks while continuously checking to see if your nameservers have changed, where you can indeed continue to change and manage DNS entries before changing NS.
