about a month ago we upgraded the PHP on my site from 7.0 to 8.1 and since then it has really started lagging, I have cleared and purged the cache multiple times and I cannot find what the issue is, my site went from about an 80 score on mobile to 35 and I am losing clients, any ideas ?

This won’t affect the performance dropping. If there were errors, you could see them in error logs.
