Lingering DNS CNAME from Spectrum

What is the name of the domain?

ocsolir.com

What is the error message?

A CNAME record with that host already exists.

What is the issue you’re encountering

Hello, I used to be a Pro client for a couple of months and had spectrum configured for minecraft. After reverting back to the free plan I have attempted to create an A-Record play however I keep getting hit with the error “A CNAME record with that host already exists.” Looking at my DNS zone configuration and searching for such a record returns no results. I can only find said record through dnsdig like tools (shows as a23142ac5f5a4bc181e0edb55862191d.pacloudflare.com).

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

DNS records

I initially submitted this on the Cloudflare Discord but was advised to post here to have a ticket created.

Could you show a screenshot of your DNS records?

As you can see there are no play entries. I used to have a higher tier and had spectrum configured for play.ocsolir.com. After downgrading to the free plan I have lost access to the spectrum configuration but it appears that the CNAME record for play.ocsolir.com is still being posted by cloudflare.

Could you try to delete the Spectrum application via the API? Cloudflare API Documentation

I get a code 10007 forbidden error when trying to list, delte, or create spectrum apps via the API.

Ok, can you create a support ticket with the account category and share the # here? I will bring it to the attention of support.
