Hello,
i’have checked, during last two months, that with my free Cloudflare’s account, my site becames very slow (3, 4 even 10 seconds lag) when there are a lot of simultaneous users (about 200 users checkd via google analytics live performance).
If i pause the Cloudflare cache system everything (development mode on) turn to be very much faster.
So, someone knows if it’s a limit or something like that beacuse of free account or it’s a “feature” of Cloudflare system and it will still there even if i upgrade to payment account?
Cloudflare’s cache should not have any effect on that, respectively actually speed up requests not slow them down.
I’d highly suspect your server is not properly configured for such a number of concurrent requests, but if you say there is no such problem when you disable the cache, I can only take it at face value. My assumption would be there was something not right in how it was measured but it would take a lot more details and debugging.
In short, you should be fine with the free account and I would take a thorough look at that server configuration.
Thanks for reply Sandro,
but it’s long time we are debugging with a lot of tools (new relic and similar…) nothing strange server side …the only thing that makes difference it’s Cloudflare development mode switched off.
So i’was looking for a confirm about a free account limit before to upgrade it.
PS: if development mode it switched off… it will be back to on, automatically after a couple of hours. There is a way to keep it off?
