I’m trying to integrate Ezoic with CF, and for the last 14 hours I’ve been getting an error: “an error occurred while trying to connection to the Cloudflare API”. It was working fine until it suddenly started throwing this error.
There’s no systematic issues with Cloudflare’s API right now, no. You can follow the status page for that:
Is the error you’re seeing on Ezoic’s side? You will likely need to reach out to them if so.
However, I would recommend you avoid Ezoic. They are using a deprecated and no-longer supported program by Cloudflare which is inherently insecure. They should not be using any “certified partner” language anymore until they update their implementation. It’s baffling that Cloudflare hasn’t been more forceful in getting them to modernise their insecure implementation. cc @ggalow
I checked the CF Status page before posting, but wasn’t sure if it would include any API issues. The error is coming from the Ezoic page when it tries to connect to CF, so it SOUNDS like a CF issue but there’s no real way for me to tell.
Thanks for the info on Ezoic! That’s definitely something to consider. My PPC revenue went up about 15% when I began using them so I hate to leave them, but this makes me just a tad nervous that I’ll wake up one day to find that Cloudflare went nuclear on them and none of my sites work
