Cloudflare dashboard is saying you are the primary DNS provider for this domain, but also says this domain is not yet active
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
I purchased my domain and hosting it through mojohost, they say you are the name server, who is shows 1api.net is the registrar which mojohost is a reseller of. I want to add a subdomain and email so update my CNAME and MX records. They are saying to do this through you. Cloudflare dashboard is saying you are the primary DNS provider for this domain, but also says domain is not active on Cloudflare yet. so this is very confusing and my records are not being updated.

If the domain is pending in the Cloudflare account you are logged in to, then this means you are adding the domain to another account which is not the one where the domain is active. You need to either…
log into the account where the domain is active and manage the DNS there, or
change the nameservers at the registrar to those given in the Cloudflare account that you are logged into where the domain is “pending” so that account becomes the one managing the domain
