Is it possible to use local names instead of local ip addresses in zero trust tunne

What is the name of the domain?

example.com

What is the error message?

error=“Unable to reach the origin service. The service may be down or it may not be responding to traffic from cloudflared: dial tcp: lookup raspberrypi.local on 192.168.0.1:53: no such host” connIndex=3 event=1 ingressRule=1 originService=http://raspberrypi.local

What is the issue you’re encountering

Tunnel connects to my local server with no issues if I use the local ip, but it does not work with the local hostname. Is this possible without WARP/Split tunnel/private network?

Hi @yozzaaaa,

Unfortunately, as .local is not a valid TLD, it would not be possible unless you use something like WARP with Local Domain Fallback.

No worries, I’ll just reserve local IP for my pi in my router config so I know it’ll never change. Thanks for confirming.
