Is it possible to use Cloudflare just a DNS registrar?

On my current DNS hosting I use external DNS servers - DigitalOcean DNS (mostly because it automatically updates DNS records when droplet’s IP changes).

Is it possible to do the same with Cloudflare? I.e. pay for my domain here, but keep using DigitalOcean DNS servers. For now it looks like it is required by Cloudflare to use Cloudflare DNS servers.

It is not currently, and I don’t think it is likely to be in the future due to this being in the terms themselves. CF Registrar is an at-cost registrar, I would view it as an add-on for existing customers and not a standalone registrar.

https://www.cloudflare.com/registrar-terms/

Registrant agrees to use Cloudflare’s nameservers. REGISTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT IT MAY NOT CHANGE THE NAMESERVERS ON THE REGISTRAR SERVICES, AND THAT IT MUST TRANSFER TO A THIRD PARTY REGISTRAR IF IT WISHES TO CHANGE NAMESERVERS.

Kind of funny in this case considering DigitalOcean DNS is just white-labeled Cloudflare DNS
